….a KONG a day helps the day pass away….keeps boredom at bay…..keeps the mind at play….stops mischief all day!
We find that providing dogs with a stuffed Kong while they are alone is helpful in relieving boredom, and time passes faster when there is something exciting and engaging to do….and chewing is heaven to dogs! It’s better for your pet to be interested in their Kong than other inappropriate “chew toys” in your home. Your pet’s mind is working overtime trying to figure out how best to get the goodies out of the Kong. Also beneficial is the exercise they get trying to solve this puzzle – they will roll it, paw at it, flip and chase their Kong around.
In an effort to provide the best possible care for your pets, Pet Nanny is now offering the “Kong Program”. As a member of the Kong Program, we provide ingredients to pack your Kong just before we leave each visit with yummy treats in different combinations. This will keep them entertained while alone. We will specially pack the treats in the Kong to maximize their Kong enjoyment. If your dog is on a special diet, let us know and we’ll use low calorie/low fat choices. You can also choose to ration a portion of your dog’s food (kibble and canned) for stuffing in the Kong . The Kong should have some solid and some spreadable ingredients to hold it together and make working for the treat more challenging for your dog. The Kong ingredients should be considered part of their daily diet.
The Kong program is free. We will provide the Kong/ingredients for a minimal charge. Check your choices below:
